In a heartfelt and thoughtful decision, the Bryant Boys and Girls Club announces its return to its original name, the Bryant Youth Association. This change reflects the organization's commitment to rekindling the spirit of its humble beginnings, while renewing focus on community involvement and support.
Founded 20 years ago, the Bryant Youth Association has been a cornerstone of the community, providing a safe and nurturing environment for countless children. It started in a small gym on the Bryant Middle School Campus in 2004 with a handful of donations from community members who saw a need in Bryant for kids to have a place to go after school. Now the organization has grown to serve more than a thousand kids yearly.
"We believe that embracing our roots will help us rediscover the passion and community spirit that fueled the establishment of this organization," said CEO Suzanne Passmore, "The Bryant Youth Association will continue to be a beacon of hope for the youth of our community, just as it was when it first began."
The Bryant Youth Association depends on the generous support of local businesses, individuals, and philanthropic organizations to sustain and expand its programs and services. Our summer and after school programs, free breakfasts and lunches, free swim lessons, clothing closet and impactful mentoring are just a few examples of how we serve kids daily.
The goal is to create a stronger, more interconnected community where everyone has a stake in the success and well-being of our youth. The Bryant Youth Association aims to foster a sense of shared responsibility and pride among its supporters.
To kick off this new chapter, the Bryant Youth Association will be launching a fundraising campaign, inviting community members to contribute and invest in the future of our youth. Whether through donations, sponsorships or volunteering, everyone is encouraged to play a role in shaping the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and community builders.
The Bryant Youth Association remains dedicated to its mission of empowering youth, providing them with opportunities for growth, education, and a sense of belonging. By returning to its roots and embracing community support, it’s going to be an exciting journey that is entirely locally led and locally funded. Visit www.bryantyouth.org for more information.
